What is UV-C light?

UVC light is proven to help kill a significant proportion (99%) of known bacteria and germs by sterilization onto surfaces without the need for chemicals.

UV-C light is mainly used because it inactivates the DNA of bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens, thereby destroying their ability to reproduce and cause disease. Specifically, UV-C light causes damage to the nucleic acids of microorganisms by forming covalent bonds between certain adjacent bases in DNA. Its wavelength is between 200-280 nm and its effectiveness is utilized in the form of sterilization and disinfection.

Is it safe to use UVC disinfection lamps?

Yes, but with caution. UV light is harmful to the naked eye of both humans and animals, and should not be exposed to plants. That said, our UV panels feature RIP sensors that automatically shut off when they sense people or animals approaching to ensure they can be used safely.

Its main use is in kitchens, bathrooms, laboratories, food or pharmaceutical plants, and hospitals. ENSHINE UV panel is designed to work on two separate systems. The first system uses LEDs to illuminate the visible panel in its normal white color (3000K, 4000K, or 6500K) and can be adjusted by a separate switch. The second system, contains three T5 UV tubes, 254nm class.
